What a Debut!

What an awesome weekend we had in Eugene, OR where we went to watch our son pitch for the Boise Hawks, this was his first time pitching at this level.  What an incredibly awesome job he did!  He pitched 5 innings, striking out 8, walking none, giving up 1 hit and no runs!

I do believe I may have been more nervous than he was!  It was a sold out crowd…standing room only when we got our tickets, which was a story in itself….if I wouldn’t have gotten a ticket into that game….it would not have been a pretty sight!

After the game he met up with us and couldn’t stop smiling…it was so good to see that from him…he is very tough on himself…but this time…there was nothing to be hard on himself about!  He was called as soon as he got in the car…it was someone interviewing him from…as soon as he finished another call came in…….just another day in paradise for him!

The link below is to the article for which he was interviewed that night.

I couldn’t be more proud as I watch him continue to work hard for his life long dream!

  1. Wonderful – fantastic – great. Happy for him – happy for you and your family.

  2. Read the articles and checked the box score, could not ask for a better debut!
Standing room only, the young man obviously has composure as well as a nice two-seamer.

    • Thanks Jesse! It was incredible! Suppose to pitch Thursday in Spokane, weather permitting…thank goodness for Boise Hawks Radio! He set the bar high for himself right off the bat!

  3. If the weather is good there could be 5000 in attendance Spokane has a great park.

    • WOW! Nice! The Boise Hawks announcers have been saying there is 60% change of rain while they are in Spokane…hopefully they will get the games in! We thought about taking a quick trip but it is 15 hours…won’t work this time…I will be listening.
